Nic

Nic

Director of Derwent Training Consultants

Nic left engineering behind in 2002 and started teaching in 2003 before starting Derwent Training Consultants in 2004.

He has been an active member of Derby Mountain Rescue Team since 1988. Nic has been active in scouting since starting as a cub many years ago.

Liz

Liz joined the team in February 2015 after previously working in education for 15 years. She gained her Level 3 Award in Education & Training in May 2017.

Liz enjoys teaching Flat Stan First Aid to 4 - 11 year olds.

She has been involved with Derby Mountain Rescue Team since 1993 and is  a Supporter with the team helping to fundraise and support the team at events.

Julian

Julian joined us in 2010 after previously working with SCS Consultant Services Ltd.

He has been an active member of Derby Mountain Rescue Team since 2000.

In his spare time, he is an assessor for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards and works with several Nightrider events around the country.

Nic

Chris

Chris started with us in 2014 previously working in education and as a Park Ranger in 2013.

She has been an active member with Mountain Rescue since 1994, previously being a member of Oldham team before joining Derby.

Chris is active within Scouting running a weekly cub pack in Chesterfield.

 

Mel

Mel joined us in 2017 and completed her Level 3 Award in Education & Training in May 2020.

Mel enjoys running, taking part in Parkruns and walking her dog Patch.  She is also involved in scouting and is a Supporter with Derby Mountain Rescue Team.

Martin

Martin joined the Derwent team in 2020 after spending much of his career in Aerospace as an Engineer and Project Manager.

He has been an operational member of Derby Mountain Rescue Team for over 40 years and taught First Aid in various roles for many years.

He is also a member of the local Community First Responder group and an Assistant Cub Scout Leader.

David

David

David joined Derwent Training in November 2019

Although David retired from the NHS Ambulance Service in 2017 he has remained a registered Paramedic and amongst his other roles David is also an examiner for the Faculty of Pre Hospital Care, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

David is an active member of Derby Mountain Rescue Team
